You'd think a Bed and Breakfast in the country would be peaceful, especially during a blizzard. However, The Pink Lady Slipper is anything but peaceful.

The B&B started life as a brothel and something of that life remained even after it changed hands. It reached its present status when owner, Trudy Moncha's mother was murdered and Trudy inherited it, tainted past and all.

New guests arriving to spend some time in the winter, to enjoy sleigh rides and other winter activities or so it is supposed to be. But, it doesn't happen. The guests arrive along with a blizzard and the B&B is effectively cut off from the outside.

Trudy is fortunate to have friend Alexandra and two hired hands to help out during this stressful period. Her guests are a strange group, all traveling together. Three are men without tongues, a woman who gives no name, and a man calling himself Marquis. Things go smoothly enough until the woman is murdered, followed by other not so nice incidents.

Not a tale for the easily frightened to be reading on a dark night when they're alone. Every creak in the house will have you jumping. You'll be on the edge of your seat when things start happening, wondering what will happen next. A well told tale by a talented author that will have you looking for other books she's written. Enjoy. I sure did.
